Heritage APIs (SiteVisitor and Others)

As the newest members of our API family, the Constant Contact REST APIs cover only a subset of the Constant Contact capabilities. Adopters can apply the newer REST APIs with any of the existing API functionality.



In addition to the new RestAPIs covered in the API reference section, Constant Contact has four other API families. One of those APIs, the broadly adopted SiteVisitorAPI, is appropriate for any Constant Contact Account Holder. The other three APIs are designed for, and restricted to, Constant Contact Partner organizations.

Audience

Site Visitor API
Add a single contact to an existing Contact List. Modify the attributes of a single contact. Unsubscribe a contact from all all lists.(Note: To upload a group of contacts or modify the attributes of a group of contacts, see the 'Activities' resource described here). All Constant Contact Account Holders.

List Manager API
Enable a partner to manage contact list uploads for the Constant Contact Account Holders which they manage. The API includes the capability to Create a contact list, Upload contacts to an existing list, View contact lists, Get the status of contact upload batch jobs

Constant Contact Partners (for the accounts they manage)

Site Owner API
Enable a partner to provision or update a new Constant Contact Account Holder's ("Site Owner"), manage the Constant Contact Account Holder's account information, and login for the Account Holder via an API.

Partner API Enable a partner to provision and manage sub-partners. Access to the Partner API is restricted to specific Constant Contact Business Partners who have been provided the privileges to establish and manage sub-partners. To request access to the Partner API, please contact the webservices team.
