site visitor api

It says the site visitor api is being deprecated. It is not clear if you plan on disabling this service entirely or that it is simply not supported in terms of asking questions about it? My client doesn't know what all this stuff means and since I'm wasn't on a constantcontact developer mailing list, I wouldn't even be notified of service changes like this. Will I get these notification not that I am a member on developer.constantcontact.com?

We do not currently have a concrete plan in place to deprecate the Site Visitor API's, but we intend to do so at some point in the future. When we do, there will be a significant amount of time provided so you can transition from the Site Visitor API to continue be able to use our services. Please stay assured that we will give you an advance notice of any dramatic changes in our support status for existing APIs.
